Salt of the Earth

salt block.jpg

Salt is a very useful agent. It preserves, seasons, heals, binds, and has great value.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. Matthew 5:13 ESV

As believers, we are called to be about our Father's business and to reflect His goodness in all areas of our lives. Just like salt, we are to preserve goodness, season conversations with grace, bring healing to hurting hearts through compassion, and bind communities together in service, for this adds value to the world around us. When we live contrary to the  Word of God and disobey his commands, it diminishes our witness which loses impact for the Kingdom.

May we never forget the incredible value God places on our lives.  Let us use our actions and words to reflect the love of Christ to those around us for His Glory. We encourage you to meditate and pray on this scripture and allow God to take you deeper still. There's a richness that has to be savored.

God Bless,

Tara

20/20

Happy New Year! Many of us have already experienced highs, lows, and uncertainty in our lives and around the world. But if I can just encourage you for a moment , God is faithful and His love is unwavering toward us. I am humbled at the level of patience God has with me. While I am undeserving of His love, He gently rebukes me and redirects me toward my purpose because I am His. My life was bought with a price and it is not my own.  I see His hand on my life in so many ways despite my shortcomings. To be totally transparent procrastination has been a weakness but by God's grace I'm a conqueror! What I have learned about

procrastination is, it stunts growth because of 1 of 2 things, slothfulness or bad time management. Sometimes our priorities are not in line. Regardless, it steals your time and takes away from your purpose. It's because of this weakness Pearl Ministries suffered last year, but by God's grace I am back where I need to be. While others are working on seeing clearly "20/20 vision", my focus has shifted to "...write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry (Habakkuk 2:2-3, KJV)".

I'm on the move, left procrastination behind and I would love for you to join me.

Take time this year to be in God's presence to hear from Him. Whatever God has put inside you, I encourage you to write it down. Ask Him for the strategy to get there. Just know in the process you will be stretched, your faith tested, and ungodliness will shed off. Persevere through your weakness. Remember 2 Corinthians 12:9,  "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...". The best is yet to come!

FROM DREAM TO DESTINY: THE DAWN OF PEARL MINISTRIES

Greetings!

Today marks the dawn of a wonderful new milestone on my journey. I answered "the call" into ministry in 2012, but I didn't really know what direction to go. Besides receiving many prophesies saying that I would stand before nations, reach nations, birth nations or have an awesome ministry, I had no idea how and when it would all come to fruition; I still don't.  All I knew was that God had a plan and unique purpose for my life.  After many seasons of triumphs and failures, setbacks and setups, distractions and clear focus, detours and rerouting I find myself on the brink of it all: I am right where God wants me to be. If you had told me six years ago, that I was going to be teaching e-bible studies, sponsoring outreach activities, or hosting retreats solo, I would have laughed and said no I am just the helper. As I write this today, I am still in awe of how God directed my path to this point. I'm just a small town girl from Leighton, AL with a big heart desiring to please an even bigger God.

As you walk this leg of the journey with me, know that I walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9).  I trust God with my whole heart (Proverbs 3:5);  I have faith in and a personal relationship with my Savior.  I'm not easily shaken or moved because I know and understand who's I am (1 Corinthians 15:58). I walk in the Authority God has given me through Christ Jesus (John 14:12-14). I'm not doing this for accolades or to be seen by man (Matthew 6:5), rather I believe it's my reasonable service to operate in the gifts God has given me. And I believe by sharing the Gospel in love, we can make a difference one person at a time.

Shall you join me?...
